NVR stops or starts recording cars and humans after a few seconds after detection depending on which connected camera you look at.

I have the above issues running a HIK Vision DS-7616NI-M2. The cameras that are connected to the NVR are DS-2CD2T87G2-LSU/SL and DS-2CD2T87G2P-LSU/SL.
What could be the reason for this behaviour? Please tell me if there is something I should check or could it be a faulty NVR?

I am sorry for my quick conclusion. I come to understand, it is actually recording and even on a second NVR that I connect today. It shows up correctly in the event playback menu of the NVR. The problem is the HIK Connect mobile app. It won´t not show the video clips properly from either NVR. Sometimes the clips have missing parts as I described above, sometimes they are actually missing out completely. What could be the reason for it? Is there anyone who experienced the same issue?

Hej @uffe ...

It shows up correctly in the event playback menu of the NVR. The problem is the HIK Connect mobile app.

You need to have "Notify Surveillance Center" turned on for each event... then those events should be sent to the Hik-Connect app:

You can configure this on the NVR (as above) or on the cameras directly (the better way).

Also, in Hik-Connect, you need to have the camera(s) set to "Armed".

With only event recording activated, I have missing parts, 1s or more, either in the beginning of the clip or in the middle or at the end of it on both installations.

On this NVR menu:

As @wittaj mentioned on your other thread, you could try (at least temporarily to troubleshoot) changing to "All-Day Continuous" recording to see if that makes things better.

Or try adjusting/increasing the "Pre-Record" and/or "Record Delay" values.
