I purchased the NVR4108-8P-4KS2 and was sent a NVR5216-16-4KS2. If I keep it I will have to buy a POE hub which is obviously an extra cost. Besides the extra bandwidth and room for a second HDD, are there any extra features in the NVR5216-16-4KS2 model? What one is the better option if the price is the same?

Sounds you like you got a NVR5216-4KS2. If it had the -16P- in the model number, it should have come with 16 POE ports built-in, and you wouldn't need to buy a separate POE switch.

If you're planning on recording continuously and also using IVS or Motion Detection, it'd probably be worth reading the last few pages of this thread.
Dahua NVR5216-4KS2 / NVR5216-16P-4KS2

... I don't know if the NVR41XX series has the same issues.

You are correct aristobrat. I edited my post, it is the non POE version. I am planning on continuous recording and also using IVS. I read through that thread a few days ago and from what I can tell all the current Dahua NVRs are effected due to the way MD is stored.
