Just a simple question. If 6tb is enough for me and the bandwidth for 80mb is enough because 8 cameras working on 8000 bitrate it is 64 mb why to choose 4208? Is it giving me something more than 2 hard drives and bandwidth?

I'd probably look at the 5xxx series then, and compare those.
Other things to take into account: with 8 cams on an xx08, adding another cam (even not on the NVR but you want to record), you're doomed. The "surplus" for an xx16 is often marginal in comparison to an xx08.
2nd hard drive does also mean you can store (eg 4 channels) on the 1st, and 4 on the 2nd. In case of a crash, you still have 50% of your footage.

Another important parameter: you're going for a POE version or not.

Easy enough answer? :)

Yes with built in poe and decide for 8 channels because the client dont want more than 8 because he will cover all the place in store. We dont want to go with 5xxx series because of limited budget. 8 cameras recording at 8000 bitrate with 6tb disk will cover about 8 days so i can reduce the bitrate to 6000 and record more. But for limited budget i think the best choice is 4108

Where can i use the difference on the ethernet port of 1 gb on 42xx series instead of 100mb of 41xx series?
