Anyone try a hard disk greater than the specs show as the max size which is 10tb. 16tb are on sale but the data sheet for the 5216-16p-4ks2e shows a max of 10gb. Could be an old spec though.

I tried to find the spec sheet indicating that and couldn't on the Dahua website. I'm not sure where that limitation comes from. If it's the bios then that's a problem. But if it was in the software, it may have changed, since it's running Linux.
Where are these 16tb drives on sale?

FWIW I have a 4416-16P-4KS2 running 2x12TB and 1x14TB so I'd be inclined to say it should work

Answering my own question on this. Installed a 16tb Seagate drive a month ago. Formatted to full capacity and now filled and overwriting . So a 16tb workes just fine.

In the comments to the latest NVR DAHUA firmware, it is indicated that it is allowed to install one 16TB disk due to its high heat dissipation and power consumption. Operation of more than one 16TB disk is not guaranteed.

I tried a WD Purple WD121PURP and I get a drive error right away.. thought maybe it was too big for the system to recognize, but it sounds like I may have a bad drive.
