New to forum... Mostly reading issue and learning. I have a "hybrid" system in that I have a 16 channel DVR and a computer running Blue Iris. Blue Iris is managing all my cameras. I have 12 (8 analog and 4 IP.) As my analog cameras die, I'm replacing them with IP cameras. As I'm happy with my current analog dvr, I'll continue to run this coat hanger and duct tape system until the DVR dies.
My background is in IT and cyber security so my experience is on the hardware side. Also with a side order of an associate in electronics.
