ONVIF Compatible, POE, 2k or 4k Doorbell?

Hi, I've received help in the best from this forum, hopefully I can again!
I am a standard "end user" of a LOREX 4K NVR 'Fusion' system. I'm fairly happy with it.....EXCEPT the doorbell.
I think It stinks! (I had the 1080p wifi one)
Lo and behold Lorex releases a 4K (single band wifi) doorbell camera. I think it stinks too
I didn't want to sacrifice the POE option but Lorex didn't have one. My hands were tied.
Log story short, the doorbell is going back. It's not suitable for me.....at all and very glitchy! Now my question :)

1. Does Anyone know of a POE doorbell that is at least 2k (color night vision nice to have) and in ONVIF compliant so I can add it into the Lorex Fusion NVR?
2. Is there a great Android app that can add sit on top of the NVR and manage all IP camera devices, I wouldn't want to have a LOREX app and another vendor App being used simply because they are different brands, so looking for an app to manage it.

I've read about the Reolink 5MP again but previous posts of mine had responders who indicated to perhaps "pass" on the brand but that's the closest I've found so far.

Thank you for any help, responses etc!

True, the Reolink name gets little love on IPCT but their doorbell is an exception...most that have one or 2 like them. I have 2 of the Wi-Fi versions since June of '23 and both have been rock steady. They are each connected to a dedicated 5GHz access point.

I have the Reolink wireless - but I have it wired & powered via an adapter. I need to find my notes to recall how and why ...

OK ... I bypassed the PS leads because the actual doorbell side required 24v. Since the NVR autodetects POE and the POE lines are disconnected - it should be OK.

Meanwhile, I need to see about changing the IP from 192.168.x.x to a 10.1.1.xx

It should then work with the Empiretech NVR ... and, I presume, with other brands as well.

I actually purchased both the Reolink PoE as well as the Wired (24V) WiFi 2k Camera from Lorex. I really like the PoE but as an end user that wants speed and reliability, I just think the PoE option is great but the ONVIF compatibility with the Lorex NVR has got me beat so far. ONVIF compliant should be classified as ONVIF compliant-ish because it's got me beat so far. There is a great post on the Reolink doorbell I just came across and I'm working my way through it but I still cannot get it to work. Was able to have it powered and plugged into to the modem directly and was able to confirm it's in DHCP and had no gateway issues or IP conflicts, verified components are ONVIF compliant (profile "T" apparently) and yet, I'm still beat. Fun learning and I appreciate this forum. the 2k wired Lorex doorbell is almost here and hopefully that'll be positive.

Still don't know why PoE isn't more widely available in doorbells.

Thanks for the help, lots of info here!

So are you saying you are NOT able to get a POE Reolink doorbell to work with your NVR?

Have you logged into the doorbell's webGUI, enabled the ONVIF and RTSP ports?

Are you connecting it to a POE port on the NVR or to the NVR's LAN using a POE switch? This will determine how you address the doorbell's IP configuration, static or DHCP.

So are you saying you are NOT able to get a POE Reolink doorbell to work with your NVR? CORRECT - unable to get POE Reolink doorbell to work with LOREX nvr

Have you logged into the doorbell's webGUI, enabled the ONVIF and RTSP ports? - YES. Previously Verified enabled

Are you connecting it to a POE port on the NVR or to the NVR's LAN using a POE switch? This will determine how you address the doorbell's IP configuration, static or DHCP. - I accessed Reolink Web GUI by wiring power to doorbell (21.8V at the doorbell). I ran ethernet back from doorbell to modem/router that allowed me to access it on the LAN. I could see the IP and could se the settings to make it static or not. I could see it on the WEB gui of my modem just fine
I'm not sure what happened. I was making good progress but then once I got stuck (while working with the NVR) I went back to the last known time that I was able to access the camera ( which was when it was hardwired for power and then plugged directly into the modem) but I wasn't even able to access it directly on LAN despite my best efforts. It has power but other than that, nothing. Not sure, but it appears I went backwards.

I'm glad I found this thread. I gave up on Ring and having to pay $30+ a year to store my video clips a couple of years ago and went with a Foscam doorbell. They no longer make one and I'm considering new camera options for the new house we're planning to build. I may remove the Foscam and just put an old doorbell back in and take it with us, but I wanted to look into new options as well as wasn't having any luck. Has anyone used this with Blue Iris or know if it's compatible?

What is "this" ? A Reolink doorbell?
If so, the answer is "yes".

Yes, the this I was speaking of was the Reolink doorbell mentioned in a couple of the posts. I guess, once I started replying, I got it in my head that the whole post was about the Reolink doorbell, rather than doorbells in general.

Sorry about that and thanks for confirming.
