ONVIF triggers and schedules

Nonsense

I recently installed new T54IR-ZE-S3 and next week will be adding B54IR-Z4E-S3 to monitor driveway. Those two together will replace my old SD-49225T-HN.
Long story short I started using IVS because it seems to work very well and not giving any false alarms. Blue Iris then pulls ONVIF triggers from camera and everything works great.

However I cant get schedule to work. I have two profiles, home and away. Even when selecting away profile from triggers tab and deselecting sync with profile 1 (home in this case) and when changing ONVIF/Camera events it changes them in all profiles. Am I doing something wrong here or is it bug? I have not used schedules that much so might well be user error. I have schedules enabled and timed in global settings.

I've not tried to do it but in the cam settings look at Triggers > ONVIF/camera events > Configure...

Under that, in the box at the bottom it shows the ONVIF events that are listened for. You can set what's active by rule/profile there.

Thats exactly where I tried to change them. I have 5 tripwires that Blue Iris listens and during time when I'm home I don't want triggers from front entrance or garage entrance. I did choose Home profile then ONVIF/camera events > Configure and disabled thoso two actions. Then looked Away profile it has changed aswell

Hmmm... wouldn't think it should work that way. ; )

But if that's what it does, then that's what it does. That's the only place that I can think to do it. Schedules should be independent of that. They just change the profile. No way to do anything with events directly there as far as I know.

Yeah I'm quite confident now that its not user error causing this problem. Seems like some reason ONVIF trigger input simply doesn't care profiles. One way to make this work would be to make schedule to IVS rules but I would prefer doing schedule stuff in Blue Iris. I think I will send email to BI support about this.

Yeah, that ONVIF config section isn't brand new but fairly new and I doubt that many have done much with it to test every aspect. I've used it some to differentiate IVS rules but not with profile changes. Given how it looks like it should work as other things do with that same sort of profile selection model in BI, you're likely doing it right and it's just a bug. Post back if there's something that we're missing and/or whatever resolution.

I have been testing it now to differentiate person, vehicle, animal, person at front entrance and person at garage entrance and have to say it is doing great job so far. With old camera setup I only used BI motion detection so this ONVIF stuff is all new to me. Realy impressed how well Dahua's AI works identifying stuff.

I report when this thing gets figured out and what the problem was.

Did you also uncheck the box for "ONVIF/camera events" for the profile you don't want it to pull ONVIF from?

When I do that, this box is either checked or not checked based on which profile I am in.

I leave it checked because I still want 3 out of 5 ONVIF triggers while home and 5 out of 5 when I'm away. I tried to change profile and then ONVIF/camera events > Configure > disable 2 triggers there but that changes it in all profiles.

Yes! That's what I thought you were saying that you were doing. Same way that works elsewhere in BI.

Sauna is ready 90°C (194°F ) so have to go in there but after that I try this out. I'm sure that it now works great. Sometimes you just miss most obvious and straight forward thing. Luckily we have this great forum to help people out.
