I was able to get Ubuntu installed with OpenALPR using my GTX 1070 for acceleration this evening. It was able to run 2 720p 15fps license plate cameras on my mailbox with ~5-6% GPU usage.
I was able to parse 30 second videos of the same resolution and framerate with the console app in about 5 seconds.
I'm interested in either having the daemon run constantly depending on what the power usage is like, or have blue iris send the videos over to the server for analysis and reporting. Has anyone done with with GPU acceleration?
