I am still searching for the optimal bitrate/iframe setting to save as much disk space while keeping optimal image quality.

At this very moment my setting for my HFW4300S is 1920x1080@15 fps, CBR, 2048 Kb/s and 30 iframe frequency. I ordered the Dahua HDBW-4421-AS and because it is 4 MP, the amount of data recorded is significantly higher compared to the HFW4300S.

I was thinking to use 3720 Kb/s for this new cam for 2560x1440@15 fps and CBR, not sure this setting will yield good quality video/pictures while considerably saving disk space.

I don't think using a higher bitrate will increase better image quality, so there is an optimum somewhere in between and maybe someone has experience with the optimal bitrate/disk saving setting for an ip cam @15 fps, while retaining excellent image/video quality.
