^^^^ That's exactly why #$@% bikes should not be on the sidewalk. Sidewalks are for pedestrians (people on foot or if not fully ambulatory, in a wheelchair or using a walker).
The word "pedestrian" is from Latin 'pedester' or 'pedestris' which means ‘going on foot’.
