The periodic keep alive function recently added July 3rd has an issue. It does not fire at 12:00am. I have it setup firing off a URL to HomeSeer every 10 minutes and it works fine every 10 minutes except at midnight.

11:50pm it fires, skips 12:00am and fires again on schedule at 12:10 and every ten after that until the next midnight.

Have observed this each night since I setup this on the schedule page.

Anybody else using this? Very useful features to create an overall watchdog type interface to other systems. I have it set off a HomeSeer event every 10 minutes. It resets the timer every time it runs. Other HomeSeer event checks to see if timer gets to 11 minutes then alerts me something is wrong with Blue Iris.

I sent BI support an email documenting this.

Can you set it to fire at 11:55 and 12:05?

I will experiment some. Per the help file “If you select a number of minutes which equally divides a day (such as 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, 10, 12, 15, 30, 60 minutes) the execution is aligned to these time divisions. “

So using any of those intervals it will align with a 12:00am fire time.

Will try some odd times. Just used the default 10 minutes when trying the feature.

You should tell Blue Iris support about this. For what it is worth, my scheduled FTP snapshot uploads (10 minutes apart) does the midnight one just fine. But it is possible he didn't use exactly the same code for the scheduling.

Ok tried 9 minute interval and it still aligned to a 12:00am time which it missed. Had a 11:51 then a missed 12:00 then 12:09 fire and the rest of the day it worked perfect.

Tonight i am trying 11 minute interval.

11 did not work either. Just have to wait for a fix from BI. Email sent to support.
