Hi everyone,

I setup IVS rules for my camera.

Unfortunately IVS rules executes not only for people, cars but and for small animals like cats and dogs.
According advertising Dahua IVS is smart and it mustn't react for small animal but it does.
Here the an example when IVS reacts to neighbor cat.

Could you help me how I can ignore these pets for IVS rules?

Camera is too high and distance too far away for starters.

Did you leave min size as (0,0)?

Did you enable smart plan?

Have you confirmed that Motion Detection and Smart Motion Detection are turned off?

Did you do the global configuration to calibrate the camera for people by using a known measurement and setting it in different spots?

Provide screen shots of all of your camera settings.

Nevermind on the min size as 0,0 as this camera does not have AI capabilities, so it cannot filter out by AI for just human or vehicles, so you will need to set up min size to knock out the smaller stuff.

Yes, you are right the camera is set under roof, but it give me excellent view.

This camera has zoom, but I setup it to see all area.

Yes, min size is 0,0 because I don't know to measure animals .

MD and Smart MD are turned off.

I don't know how I can calibrate it for people. I've not heard about this procedure.

See my new post - I do not believe this camera has AI in it, so you will have to do min size and since it does not have AI, it will not have the calibration function.

You will have to have someone stand out there and draw a box around them to get minimum size for it to trigger.

Ok thank you , I'll try to set min size, but it is difficult to measure animals but I'll to guess it.

This is from the lite series and does not show AI in it.

Smart Plan and AI are too different things. My Dahua non AI cameras still have smart plan as smart plan is for IVS.

Yes, you can also use the pixel counter to get a minimum size and type that into the min size location.

Could you tell me what the pixel counter is ?
Where can I find it?

That was what you were using above on Post #9

You can either use the pixel counter to draw a box or simply select the min object size and then select draw and draw it directly and the 0,0 will change to whatever size box you draw.

I calculated by Pixel Counter that minimal size 34x68 pixels.
When I select Minmal Size radio button the minimal values are grey and I can't edit them.
What's the matter how I can edit these values?

Hit the draw target and see if that allows you to draw and then edit it.

Also, it might be your browser - some of these are sensitive to the browser being used so make sure you are using internet explorer.

You are right. The problem was connected to Internet explorer. When I started to use IE then the problem was solved.
