I am setting up a few IP POE security cameras around the house which is all running perfectly, i have one camera left to install but this one will also have audio.
I will be running a Cat 6 out to the DS-2CD2132F-IS camera approx 30 meters from the switch and nearest power point, the mic will also require 12 volts and around 300ma to 400ma.
I was considering running a second cat 6 cable out to the camera and plugging that into the POE switch as well, remove the RJ45 at the camera end and use the power pair to power the mic.
Will this work?
