Recently, my IPC-5442T-ZE got reset and the NVR could not find it.
Long story short,I had to use a power adapter to connect the IPC to my computer in order to reset the camera.
Unmounting the camera and mounting the camera again (not fun, since it's outdoor install).
I want to be ready if this happens again, If I had a POE injector, I could have disconnect the IPC from the NVR and connect it to the computer.
I know I can buy a POE switch, but I prefer the injector, since it's smaller and cheaper (and will rarely use it, hopefully).

What POE injector should I buy?
1. Passive/Active ?
2. how much volt (I know the camera requires 12V and 2A, but I know the NVR uses 48V, so i'm not sure....)?
thanks

Bought one of these for a stand alone to the switch, always works when needed;

TP-LINK 802.3af Gigabit PoE Injector TL-POE150S

$20 bucks on Amazon

Also my recommendation for a slightly newer model TL-POE160S that has POE +, and complies with IEEE802.3af/at standards and supplies up to 30 W
