I am looking to purchase a camera system for my home and had a question about POE switches that I have been unable to find searching websites.
So far on my list are:
1x - Dahua PFS4210-8GT-150 8-Port PoE Gigabit Managed Switch
1x - Dahua English version 4K NVR NVR5216-4KS2 16 Channel Network Video Recorder - (no POE ports)
2x - Dahua IPC-HDW5431R-Z 4MP WDR IR Eyeball Network Camera
I noticed that this switch does not say it is HiPOE compatible. The ports max out at 30W. Can a HiPOE switch be daisy chained to this switch if I choose to add a 60W PTZ camera in the future? BTW, the few PTZ cameras I briefly looked at are only 30W max, this normal? Do I even need to worry about HiPOE at 60W?
I assume with the managed switch I will be able to connect directly to the cameras through a GUI of some sort, correct?
Thank you!
