I just ordered a Dahua SD49225T-HN from here, very excited.
I'll be installing it to look over a dune out at the ocean from the top of a pole at a beach house. I'll be giving a few people access to the camera but don't want it to be a privacy issue for our neighbors, so I wanted to see about masking out a few areas. In other words, I want to make it so th ecamera can't see into our neighbors' bedroom for example.
If all else fails I can mount some cardboard or whatever to prevent the camera from seeing anything in that direction, but I wanted to see if there's a smarter way of doing this first.
I plan to give the people who shouldn't have full control of the camera a private webpage to view the camera through. It would be enough to restrict their panning to 180 degrees.
Is such a thing possible?
I'm a programmer, so complicated/tech-heavy solutions are fine too.
And thanks! Can't wait to try the camera. I had already ordered a Sunba camera, but after reading some reviews here of the Dahuas I cancelled the order.
