Does anybody know if it's possible/how to use substream for Hikvision Connect, the issue is as a virgin media customer, my upload speed isn't great and that leads remote viewing to be laggy as the camera's are at main stream resolution.

If possible, could I have remote viewing as substream but if I full screen view a camera it switches to main stream?

Thanks!

Maybe it's possible with their own app. It's called iVMS-4500 and available on android and iOS.

Just try it

Naah, iVMS-4500 is the older app, Hik connect is the actual one.

There you have a setting (clear/flow i think), which switches main/substream

I dont think so this is the older app, it has just a better support of the hik connect feature which was previously called ezviz...

But nevermind, on both apps you have these options like forinsec described. The symbol looks like a window and when you click on it you can choose between smooth and clear. Smooth will be the substream and clear the mainstream. You can change the settings of the substream in the camera...
