Hi all,
Simple question, round power plug, in Lorex MCNB 2153 security camera,12 V DC, has center pin and outer ring. Which is positive, which is negative? Spent hours with tech support of the manufacture and didn't get the answer. They are totally useless and clueless. What a waist of time!!! Thanks for help, Mike

From what I found, it takes a CVA4902 power adapter. Amazon has one that appears to show center pin positive, as is typical. Amazon.com: UpBright New Global 12V AC/DC Adapter Compatible with Lorex CVA4902 Security Camera 12VDC Power Supply Cord Cable PS Wall Home Battery Charger Mains PSU: Electronics YMMV
That would do the trick but I highly recommend the OP use one that is UL-Listed, such as this one ==>> AC 100-240V to DC 12V 2A Power Supply Adapter Switching 5.5 x 2.1mm for CCTV Camera DVR NVR Led Light Strip UL Listed FCC

The power connector is the standard for cams; 12VDC, center pin is positive (+) and collar is negative (-), 5.5mm outside x 2.1mm inside.
It's rated @ 2.0A and should work great for that cam.

Thank you both for answer and help. Installing camera on the boat with 12 V available allover, so don't need adapter.
Thanks again, it was priceless.

FWIW, automotive and marine 12VDC is a nominal 13.8VDC and can spike up to 15 when battery is charging; I suggest a stabilizer/regulator to provide a clean 12VDC, like this==>> Cllena DC 8V-40V to 12V 3A Automatic Buck Boost Converter Step Down/Up Regulator Voltage Reducer Converter Waterproof Regulated DC Power Supply

The directions likely state an inline fuse/circuit breaker and its rating and would go between this device's input and the battery's 12VDC. Also, it should state the minimum gauge of stranded copper conductor from battery to circuit protector and on to this device's input.

Up to 36 feet, #14 should do (based on 13.8VDC @ 3A, 2% max voltage drop allowed) ==>> WIRE CALCULATOR
