I am new to Blue Iris and am having some issues with receiving group alerts. Let me explain:
I have several camera groups and have all the cameras in each group trigger when any of them are triggered. But I only have the camera that actually saw the motion send me an alert, that way i dont get blasted with several alerts every time anything happens. Below you'll see screenshots from 2 cameras: FrontDoor and FrontPorch. Those 2 cameras make up the Fporch group.
Even though i think i have it set to not deliver ANY group trigger alerts, im still getting some. Can someone tell me where i went wrong in my settings that causing these group trigger alerts?
1. Blue iris: youll see in the below 2 screenshots that FrontPorch Zone A triggered at 6:29:46 and FrontDoor received a Group Trigger alert at the same time.
2. Anytime i have an alert occur, i have it send me a push notification and an email. My email inbox showing alerts i received:
I was expecting to receive 1 alert from this event, a "FrontPorch (Motion_A)" alert but you will see I received 2 and they both say 'GROUP' on them.
How come the FrontPorch alert said GROUP?
Why did i get the alert from the FrontDoor?
3. Blue Iris settings:
I think i have it set to not send ANY group trigger notifications.
EDIT: I have a theory: Are the FrontPorch and FrontDoor cameras triggering so closely together in time that they both trigger Group alerts? They are pointing at almost the same space so this would make sense.
