I've started a seemingly simple project of hooking a few ip cams on my home network and dumping the footage to the NAS.
During past few months I learned th hard way about wrong passive PoE PSUs, bad ethernet cables, faulty wifi AP, recording via FTP, zoneminder.
I discovered Blue Iris recently and finally got 2 cams to work.
I am struggling to get 3rd to work which may suffer from instable FW / hardware fault - I will post the details in Dahua section.
