put all alerts from a continuous recording cam into single mp4 file?

Tried to find it, maybe I am just using the wrong search term(s)..

I am continuously recording, and I would like to take a single cameras stored file(s) and extract the video during the time the alerts happen and put it all into a single externally readable video.

Thanks and sorry if I missed finding a simple solution in my searches!

one way to do this would be to 'clone' your camera in BI and have the second copy recording only on motion/alerts,
while the original one continues to record continuously. BI will only pull a single stream from the cam, and disk
space is cheap...
