I don't know much of anything about quantum physics-- other than it is very trippy weird science. This episode of NOVA dives into this, and mentions Chinese efforts to create perfectly secure communication channels, and simultaneously create the ability to decrypt any level of encryption. Of course, NOVA stayed in the theoretical realm of this even though the Chinese have apparently tackled many of the obstacles to apply these theoretical realities.
