I use the motion activated sprinklers mainly for keeping cats out of the yard but they work great for keeping Raccoon's from climbing the fence and getting into mischief too.

We had a raccoon accidentally locked in our building over night once, it seriously almost ripped the door off from the inside. They are something else, I have seen a raccoon wadding through the 6 inch water in the creek near my house.

They're tough little critters. I wouldn't want to be locked in a building with one.
I think these raccoon's weren't afraid of the water so much as they were of the noise that the sprinkler makes when it starts up.
I had a lot of problems with cats until I got a couple of motion activated sprinklers. This video is what made me decide to go that route.

Yep, it was this Aussie's video that convinced me to use a motion activated sprinkler deterrent for cats. The only difference is that I didn't disassemble my truck to accomplish it. :laugh:
