Reboot camera every week. Good idea?

I recently noticed both Dahua camera models I have came by default set to reboot themselves once a week, in the early morning hours. So far I haven't had any problems with either type, but it seems possible that 30 seconds of dead time might be important some day. Just wondering, do people leave this set at default, or turn off the "Maintenance - auto-reboot" feature? If you run with the auto-reboot disabled, how likely is that to cause trouble?

turn it off; unless its a remote location... if you need to reboot the camera on a schedule you likely have some bad cabling and trying to come up with a bandaid.

if nobody is around to kick anything thats not working correctly; like an off the grid cabin then you probably wanna use it.

I have some Dahuas that reboot and turn the image into a cabbage until I modify and save the settings again. Dunno why. Auto rebooting isn't always good, but if it doesn't screw things up immediately then it might save a problem in the future.

Mine have been running for months without a problem.
If the camera crashes or hangs the watchdog timer will reboot it within 30 seconds anyways: So, no, there is no point in enabling auto reboot.
Probably was added back when the software had memory leaks?
