When I go back to look at the videos stored in a folder on the hard drive, I noticed that the most that will be there is a single day worth of recording.

Is there an overwrite setting? I cant figure out why I dont have several days worth of recordings. I have 15 POE Dahua ( well Dahua like I got from Empire Andy) cameras.

It is probably a setting in your folders retention settings.

I suspect you either have it keep it for 1 day (Limit clip age) or the storage set is so low that only a day is possible.

But you only gave it 10GB. It will do whichever comes first and 10GB isn't a lot of storage for video.

Without knowing how your system is set up (number of cameras, bitrates, resolution, 24/7 or motion only, etc.) that sounds way too low.

How large is the drive and is it used for anything else?

Most of us will give BI 90% of the rated capacity of a drive, so if we have a 10TB drive (10,000GB) we give BI 9,000 GB of storage.
