I've had BI5 up for a bit over a year. Had some camera problems to work on. So was just happy to have it working. Now that the camera problems are resolved, I have become more critical of how it's working. My recording is triggered by the simple method... not a mask, just a percentage of pixels moving. But right in the middle of a movement, it stops recording.
I am recording Skeet shooting at my range, and at some stations around the semi-circle, a shooter takes two shots. Sometmes two, followed by a "double". Invariably when I am trying to see myself, the video stops right after the first shot. I have played with the spot size and also the contrast... leaving it as sensitive as possible while removing the senseless recording of bugs flying past the lens. I printed out the pages in the manual pertaining to setting thresholds and capturing movement (pages 58-62) but failed to feel that I could implement any changes that would matter.
I'd call on Ken if I could, but he's too busy to work one on one.
