Any suggestions as to how to monitor very remote property where if the wind is blowing in the right direction you might get 1 bar on your cell phone. I've read there are game cameras called Cuddleback that link to each other and can email pics but you have to Zerizon LTE service. Not sure that would work with poor reception in my area. I would be happy with just capturing motion on SD cards. Will cameras that support SD recording work standalone, with only power?

Check to see, most will allow you to add an external antenna. I had one with external antenna about 30' up in a tree, it sent
pictures like that when there was no service at all on ground level.

Thanks!! I believe they do offer an antenna for those Cuddleback game cameras. They supposedly allow 14 like cameras to connect to each other so you don't have to check every camera. Old Timer, yeah I'm 70 now and the last time I tried to use my tree climber I almost busted my a$$. I may get one and see how it works. I spoke to this outfitting company Greentop in Va who told me you had to buy cell service for them to operate but it's at a lower rate than regular cell service. I think they said 10 bucks a month.....

I think it's $10 around here also. Think I had to buy an adapter to go from the coax to the camera. Used 30' of coax to the antenna.
I had to let my deer lease go a couple years back after I broke my back taking my stand down. My Dr said I was old enough
to know better then that. :banghead: Retired 7 years ago. I still have a cabin, but hunt out the window now, and take the 4 wheeler out to
get the deer. Limits me a lot, but I still get my yearly meat.

I kind of switched from hunting a lot to target shooting. I bought a Dillion progressive loader and crank out 223, 556, and 300 blackout for my new Daniel Defense PDW pistol. Great personal defense weapon. I can carry that under my coat and it's completely legal.... Shoots sonic and sub sonic loads. I guess O'Biden is going to try and put the brakes on all that. I'll let you know how that phone thing works out. I'm going to check it out tomorrow. Guess I better spend some time with the wife. I might have to wait another year for my big valentines present. LOL

You have to keep the wife happy! If you don't keep piece in the family, there will be no piece in the family:D
I still hunt for meat, will still take a trophy, but don't go looking. Still do my CQB drills. It keeps you on your toes.
