Remote IP Camera

Hey,

Looking for some advice, I'm trying to set up a farm yard PTZ camera.
It's mains powered and has an ethernet connection.

Just wondering what is the best way to set this up.

Should I locate an NVR in a shed then connect that to a router/3g connection to allow remote control.

Sorry about the simple questions, just trying to get my head around the setup.

By "Ethernet connection" is it safe to assume it's already (or would be) part of your LAN?

If so, how long would the Ethernet cable be from LAN to camera?

Do you want only control & viewing from your LAN or do you also desire remote (off site) control & viewing?
