Reset Passowrd DS-7200

hi all

i need a help

i have DS-7200 Hikvision DVR and i forget my password when i export file in SADP application it say time out in this case i connect my NVR to switch and my pc in the switch

but when i connect the DVR direct in the switch i could exported file and when i receive a file from TEC
it say failed to reset password

i need to know which method of connectivity shall i use ? and why in 1st case it say timeout ?
