Restoring Blue Iris after Windows Format

Going to reinstall windows

If I simply "Export Settings" from about windows, format and reinstall windows , reinstall blue iris and then "Import v4 .reg" will that restore all cameras / settings etc? or just registration? what all will it restore / not restore?

Or there is a better way of restoring? Just don't want to go through the pain of setting everything again..

Export Settings (dump of reg keys)
Format hard drive
Reinstall Windows
Install Blue Iris
Enter your Blue Iris Licence Key
Import your saved keys from step 1

Thanks.. So that is the export what i have done is all needed? that will get all the cameras and settings back?

Will that also get all the recordings and archive back on the right hand side?

Yes the export will capture all your settings.... You will not get back any of your alerts or recordings. These will need to be backed up manually.

Not sure how technical you are.... But going forward it's always a good idea to build you windows PC with two different partitions (C and D Drive)

If you install the base OS on the C drive and install all your apps and data on D drive. Should you ever need to rebuild you would just wipe the C drive install the OS back onto the C drive and reinstall the apps back to D drive thus keeping your data

(Even thought the apps are still installed on d:\Program Files\XXXXXX you would still need to reinstall them as there wouldn't be any reg keys for these apps in the registry but the directory structure and data would still be there)
