Hello you knowledgeable folk, I wonder if any of you have experience with the following.

I have a DS-2DE4425IW-DE that is solely being used as a live web cam, unfortunately it operates at a reduced frame rate and frame size due to a poor internet connection.
However I do have a static internet IP, so currently I stream using the RTSP protocol.

To improve the image, I am looking at getting Starlink with it's high available bandwidth, the problem here, with out a lot of messing about means I cannot use RTSP as Starlink, from what I understand uses CGNAT.

So what it might have been easier to say from the start, does anyone know of some firmware for the DS-2DE4425IW-DE that has the RTMP protocol installed.

Many Thanks in advance
Aid

You might consider using an inexpensive Raspberry Pi and open source FFMPEG to transcode your RTSP video into RTMP or any another format. This will also give you the ability to monitor the bandwidth and reset the encoder if the stream has a glitch.

Hi, thanks for the reply.

Yep, this was the messing about option.
If a siutable firmware is unavailable then this will be my next step.

All the best.
