Hi!

I've just installed SADP version 3.0.0.2 build 20150911.

It brings up the NVR but not the cameras.

Virtual host is enabled.

The NVR is DS-7608NI-E2/8P & the cameras are DS-2CD2142FWD-1

Am I missing something?

SADP will only show the NVR, if you go into your NVR via web browser you can access each camera useing the virtual host by hitting the IP on the right in camera settings.

I'm very grateful for your help; I've just been able to reset a faulty camera!!

Enter your IP of the NVR on MOzzilla browser, then

go to: Network/advance settings/other/enable virtual host

then it will be in :

system/camera mangement/ on the right hand side click the IP's to what ever camera you want.

Mate that is fantastic!

It was only the other day that i wanted to change a setting on one of my cameras. I went to the trouble of disconnecting from the Nvr and plugging into the router and then having to connect a 12v supply. I never knew i could connect this way which is obviously sooo much easier.

Why is this not a default setting!

Anyway thank you very much :-)

Just to let you both know that mine is now working a treat! Full access to all settings through my PC.

Hi Jack B Nimble, would you mind if I asked you for some more advice? I would like to try to get my cameras to play back at the same quality as the live view, or at least have the recording play back as smooth as possible. Can I show you the current settings on one of my cameras to see if I can tweak them?

Motion Detection

sensitivity = 60%

Record Parameters

Main stream (continuous) / Main stream (event)

Video / Video

Hope you can assist - regards

*btw make sure you have the latest version of SADP installed as the old version i had would not show the nvr. Installed the latest version of SADP and the nvr was shown.
