SD Cards - Required with NVR?

Sorry for yet another question :-/

Just purchased a NV41AI-8P-4K NVR to go with 2 x IPC-T54IR-ZE-S3 and 1 x IPC-B54IR-ZE-S3.

Do I need SD cards for the cams if I'm hooking them up to a NVR?

I dont use them generally speaking, but many do. In theory if your NVR is stolen or HD's all go to hell at the same time, SD cards could come in handy.

I also hear of problems with cams with SD cards and I just dont have time for that
