I have a SD1A203T-GN that I purchased from Andy back in 2019. It has been working great up until just the other day. About two days ago I lost connection with the camera in Blue Iris. I have tried to connect to the camera via the web interface and have not had any luck either. I tried preforming a full factory reset (with the reset button on the camera), but I can't get the Dahua tool to see the camera so that I can re-initialize it. I am not sure what to do at this point as nothing I try seems to allow me access to the camera. I can see that the network port on my switch still lights up and blinks when I plug in the camera, but I can't get anything beyond that.

Can anyone provide any sort of suggestion or is this camera just dead at this point?

Thank you.

Almost an identical story to mine. My sd1a203t just died on me. Same symptoms and outcomes. Did anyone get to the bottom of this and if so, is there a fix?
tia.

I don't know, Only repaired a couple of these cameras in the past, One was bad PTZ chip caused by the MicroSD slot shorting out the device. After removing the chip and installing the new one and replacing one of the caps that was in that circuit area the camera functions again. The second one was dead caused by the port being shorted and then burnt out. Removed and replaced the RJ45 socket and camera is up and working again. There are other things that can go wrong with cameras as well. Like a bad Ethernet Transformer and or communication diode.. These issues would require board level troubleshooting once you know for sure that the socket isn't the issue. best to unplug the camera cables from inside and tone out the pins to the little connector that plugs into the PCB using a multi meter.. Once you know that the issue isn't the socket then removing the little PCB from the base one would need the tools and know how to troubleshoot the PCB and fix anything that is damaged.

Panic over. I'm not sure what I did but after removing the cam and after having it sitting on my bench overnight, today I pressed and held the reset while powered on and it gave a whirr and reset itself. I remounted it temporarily and it was back to factory reset condition. I've since went into the menus and set it back up as it was. Thanks for the reply.
