Hello,

I am newbee and I am planning to get couple of SD49212T-HN. I can read information on SD49225T-HN (Dahua 2MP 25x Starlight IR PTZ Network Camera (SD49225T-HN)) but I did not find much information SD49212T-HN. My budget is already a stretch/super-stretch hence 12x instead of 25x.

Q1. Can SD49212T-HN also do 'Auto' (no human intervention) pan + zoom as shown in this video ( ). This video is linked in first post of (Dahua 2MP 25x Starlight IR PTZ Network Camera (SD49225T-HN))

Q2. Can d22204t-gn do 'Auto' (no human intervention) pan + zoom ?

Q3. Can SD22204T-GN-W do 'Auto' (no human intervention) pan + zoom ?

Q4. Will NVR4108 work with SD49212T? If not which one I need (I plan to put 4 cams), two auto pan/zoom and two fixed wide angle ones.

Q5. Will NVR4108 work with SD22204T? If not which one I need (I plan to put 4 cams), two auto pan/zoom and two fixed wide angle ones.

I will pick two of SD49212T or SD22204T and probably some variant of 4231.

Thanks

Q1: this is done manually I think. The 49225 does not have auto tracking
Q2 + Q3: no they neither have auto tracking.

but.. You could hook up sensors that steer the PTZ to a other preset and than it is also some kind of tracking. Not everything on the street in front for example, but you could use it to keep an eye on 2 postions with one sensor. So one is default preset and the 2nd preset is triggered by a sensor.

Q4 and Q5: all the camera's you name are having 2 mp sensors and the NVR4108 should have no issues with them. the NVR should even do H.265 I think.

Remark: the SD22204T-GN does not have IR, while the SD49212T-HN has IR.

Thank you for you answer. Very helpful. I will drop SD22204T-GN since it does not have IR.
Can I use triggers from HDW4231EM-AS to steer SD49212T-HN (PTZ) to presets? (Am I talking sense here?)

Yes with NVR you should be able to respond to an event the 4231 detects, with sending ptz to another preset.
