Seeing up NVR system...Hikvsion 7608 or other?

I have a second home that I'd like to set up an NVR system (inside and outside cams). Looks like Hikvision 7608 NI E2 8P is a good choice. I have control 4 in the home for lights/door locks etc. There are some NVR's that integrate with C4 but I'm not sure I need the integration.

Is there another system I should look at?

Does the Hikvision work well viewed remotely on a Mac?

mac don´t have great support when it comes to their own software IVMS . but if you use it in Firefox or some other browser ( I typically use Torch browser, works better for me is I´m on a MAC) . otherwise just install Parallel desktop on your mac with a Windows 7/8/9/10/ version or whatever so you can access it with windows software.

if you do not have 4K cameras that NVR should be fine.
