So I've got my server built.
It'll hopefully be running home assistant, frigate NVR (coral TPU) on a wd purple pro 12tb, truenas scale vm passed through hba to just 2 exos mirrored drives for a basic nas for now but I could fit 8 HDD's if I wanted....but 18tb exos enterprise are expensive.
It's a 14700k noctua dh12l cooler, 128gb ddr5 non ecc
asus w680ace IPMI mobo with 2tb ssd for proxmox, 2 more nvmes I was waiting for hailo8 nvme support for frigate plus and a 4060ti 16gb on a windows VM for BI, CPAI? and thinking of another 2tb ssd in future. It was expensive, sadly xeons, etc are very expensive in australia and couldn't find a super micron board + 128-256gb + xeon for similar price. rm 51-406 4ru rackmount with melanox qfps running 10gbps to omada sfp+. Overkill probably.
If I try out BI should I get a second wd purple pro 12tb, or an exos? Or use the same hdd as frigate? I do a bit of homelabbing too with it all. Sometimes play with stable diffusion.
Would I be missing out any major features from a dahua nvr or need one?
Hope it's ok to ask here but do you know any affordable in ceiling 2 way communication or doorbell cams to add to the tz54's I have? Compatible with home assistant?
