Setup Blue Iris to detect single LED indicator light “on” or “off”

Hi,
I have a a camera in my pool technical room that is also covering an electrical panel. The electrical panel has a LED light which indicates when the pool is filling water. What would be the best way to setup Blue Iris to trigger based on a small LED light in a large picture? I am using Codeproject AI for all my other detection.

I am also open to using other software if that is easier.

perhaps a mirror or magnifying glass could make the light set off the motion detector if it directs the light in such a way as to illuminate the space/scene enough.
or a dedicated camera like the amcrest ip2m-841w. could be setup in way to 'look' at the LED only.

If the above suggestion does not pan out for you, consider this:

Use a 12VDC photoresistor controlled relay board to "look" at the LED and monitor its state.

Connect its output to a Shelly 1 Gen3 Wi-Fi switch, also operating on 12VDC.

The Shelly can then send a HTTP command over Wi-Fi to have Blue Iris activate a camera, send an alert (SMS text, email, etc.) and more when the LED changes state to either on or off.

Total cost for the above items is roughly $45 including a 12VDC wall wart to power everything, the photoresistor relay board, the Shelly 1 Gen 3 (or 4), and a plastic project box to house the board and the Shelly.

Instructions to setup and configure the earlier Gen 1 Shelly Wi-Fi switch to send output to Blue Iris or receive input from Blue Iris can be found in a PDF document attached at my post below from July 24, 2021. The HTTP command language employed in the Gen1 and the Gen3 and 4 Shelly Wi-Fi switches should have little differences, if any.

Thanks for your input. Good input that I will consider. I was hoping in the first place to just analyze the video feed for light status and set up trigger.
Sure, absolutely worth a try! But if not, then......
