Hello, I have been running Blue Iris for five years now. I feel comfortable with it but dont know everything. I run about 30 cameras running 2k-4k with audio at my indoor shooting range.

Latest Stable Build of BI
i7-8700
32GB Ram

Recently, California passed a law that requires 24hr video and audio of every entrance/ exit, all areas that display guns, and sales area. I believe I will need 5 or 6 cameras to accomplish this. They require minimum 15 FPS and resolution good enough to identify people.

I plan to use the same Blue Iris machine but separate cameras for this. I would like to reduce the resolution as much as possible For HD space.

Do you think 1080x960 would be considered enough resolution?
60TB of WD Purple HDs to save footage for 365 days?
Any other input or suggestions?

I suggest a min. resolution of 1920 x 1080 (2MP).

Assuming H.264, at 15FPS, 6 cams for 365 days would need over 70TB of storage ( each cam 12TB).
I would assign the cams in BI to record on 2 or more drives so as to insure some recording in case of drive failure.
If you lowered the period from 365 days to 120 days, each cam would need 4TB.
