Getting the hang of it
I hesitate to ask this, but here goes.....
I am first time user of a PTZ (8236i AELW Hikvision). I was going to set up patrols so it scans around the property covering different areas. I wasn't sure what to do and thought that ideally I would like it to be constantly scanning around, only holding for maybe 10-30 seconds before moving to next position, and so on.
I am concerned this will burn out the motor. Are they designed for that much movement and motor usage, or should i only use the pan/tilt when I need to manually move it around or maybe some very long parked positions like an hour or two before moving on to the next?
