I have a Hik NVR (DS-7608NI-E2/8P), two turrets (DS-2CD2342WD-I) and a mini dome (DS-2CD2542FWD-IWS). Currently, NVR connects to home network via wireless bridge, turrets are plugged directly in to PoE ports on NVR, and have not yet connected mini dome, but will not be able to hardwire, must connect that with wireless bridge. Turrets are on 192.x.x.x and NVR is on 172.x.x.x.
If mini dome at 192.x.x.x is connected via wireless bridge to LAN on 172.x.x.x, will NVR see it?, or do I need to change camera IP to 172.x.x.x?
Would like to move NVR to secure location and hardwire to LAN. If I did that and connected turrets to PoE switch that connects to LAN via existing wireless bridge, do I assign turrets 172.x.x.x? All components would then be visible to LAN. Do I then just edit camera IPs in NVR and NVR will see cameras on LAN at 172.x.x.x IPs?
Any performance issues expected with proposed config?
