Smart events not working with AcuSense NVR

Hello,

For the moment I have the following configuration:
Two cameras:
  • DS-2CD2045FWD-I (firmware: V5.6.3build 190923) - Recording in H.265 2688x1520
  • DS-2CD2145FWD-I (firmware: V5.6.2build 190701) - Same recording parameters
And one NVR:
- DS-7608NXI-I2/4S (firmware: V4.1.18build 200120), so with AcuSense.

All the settings are made on the NVR web interface.
Everything is working fine: motion detection, line crossing, intrusion...

But when I check the "Enable Smart Analysis" in the Smart Events tab, I can configure a line but nothing happens after. There are no events in the log and there are also no blue lines on the image (it is the case when I configure a line without the smart analysis). It is exactly the same with the instrusion area. I need the smart analysis for the human detection.

Do you have any idea of the problem?

Hi
I have the DS-7716NXI with V4.1.17 .

The situation you describe, is not troubling me. The NVR is performing well,I only wish that all 16 channels had the Acusense function.

What I have experienced is the fact that you need to set up the parameters again, when you switch a channel to AcuSense. There is a pop-up warning me about that.

I would suggest that you try recording the channel in H.264. Processing is done in the NVR and maybe it needs beter video quality. Also check that enable Dual-VCA is on, although I am not to sure what that exactly does.

I use iVMS-4200, but that should not make any difference.

A lot of this is hit and miss, as the manuals are not always clear.

Good luck.

Thanks.
The dual VCA is enabled andI tried with H.264 but no success.
However I also tried with an older Hikvision camera (DS-2CD2432F, recording in H.264 1920x1080P, not sure if the progressive is important here). Smart analysis does not work either BUT... it does work if this camera uses the ONVIF protocole. It is like as the default smart events of the camera block the smart events of the NVR.

But for some unknown reasons, I can not switch my main cameras (mentioned in my first post) to the ONVIF protocole...

What protocole do you use for your cameras?

I use the default Hikvision protocol.

Do you set up your smart events from the NVR through the Web interface or directly on the cameras UI? I do it from the NVR which I believe is the correct way, as the NVR does the processing of the false alarms.
Try setting up everything from the NVR.

Good luck

Have you find any solution on this?

I had the same problem. I disabled the "local smart analysis" feature and now everything works well. I can see Alerts from every cameras in the event log. You mentioned " I need the smart analysis for the human detection."
It seems to be a wrong assumption. I can see that the option "human" is still available even after disabling local smart analysis.
