I might be wrong but have a feeling there are people here who also take an interest in high security door locks.

I'm moving into a new house and my current plan is to go for Assa abloy protec2 cylinders.
My doubt is that it can be expensive if someone (my son) loses their key. Then I wondered about a 'smart' solution (e.g programmable keys or RFID) but when I search I always come up short. I don't see anything that gives me confidence of reliability, in the prosumer level and of really good quality.

So putting it out there to see if someone already figured out a nice high security home smart lock solution

Those are some nice cylinder keys...

If you decide on Smart Locks most these days require Internet access, I have Z-Wave keypad locks but any amateur can pick the key lock in my locks. Guess I could jam them with a broken key or glue them shut. I just don't like Internet things, even have a Z-Wave Thermostat.

The lock is one thing but your Door Jam is very important. A weak one, someone can easily kick in your door. Might consider something like these:

I have used the last two, not the kickplate (first picture), but may consider it too. The middle one was first installed at our grandson's house to keep him in, I installed these mid way up the door above the doorknob/lock at our house to keep people out, it added extra support in case of kick in, also the last picture I installed for same reason. Use Long, 3 inch or more screws for these. Had a hard time working the screws in the wood even with a pilot hole but once in these are great...

Locks keep honest people honest.

Unless you have no windows your locks don’t matter much.
In our new house no wired alarm, I am not crazy about WiFi alarms or WiFi anything, Jammers can quickly stop them. I am looking at wiring our Doors only, with these:

You don't see them until the door is opened.

What most thieves do is go through a window and out a door. Some do kick in doors. So I am going to have PIR motion sensors in the rooms and these magnet sensors on the doors. May even install some glass break sensors.

Only thing with having only the door sensors, the wife said so you will get notified when the thieves are on their way out ??? lol

Of course I have cameras too
