Smart IR seems slow to adjust (see video)

This short video demonstrates how my Smart IR works. It seems to adjust a bit too slow to really adjust the exposure to get a better image of the deer. This video was shot with a 5231 using all default settings. I'd like to hear your thoughts on the quality of this video. With only the camera's IR to work with in a very dark setting, I suppose it's okay.

I don’t have any way that I know of to adjust how quickly Smart IR adjusts if that’s what you’re asking. Thanks
