Hi All,
Am I correct in thinking that smart pss is no longer functioning and smart pss lite must be used from now on. I need to setup intrusion on an IP installation remotely.

If you still have it, it should work unless your system is one of the older ones that only worked with the older P2P servers.

But yes, moving forward is it lite that is being offered.

My pss is old version and I was told to install the new light version but as far as I can see you cannot setup ivs/intrusion etc.
It's very basic
 
SmartPSS still works, its just no longer supported. That said, there are some Older NVRs it wont work with since they changed their P2P servers.
Im on a version 2023-3-10 right now and it wont connect via Serial number/P2P to 2 older remote NVRs but will to some newer ones.


SmartPSS Lite does not have the 'Device Config" tab option to login to a NVR directly. Its strictly a Live View/Playback/Download tool now
The best version for Lite is dated 2023-3-30

I assume you mean through the Device Config tab and the Blue "Link to Web" button that takes you to the remote NVR ?

Even if it did thats not a good way to set IVS rules. They should be done directly on the camera GUI

I'll have a word with the distributor here in Ireland tomorrow. I can connect to all my sites that I exported over from the old version to pss lite but as there's no configuration tab I'm "Donald ducked"
 
Download SmartPSS then, it may work on your NVRs.

I dont know what the cutoff is but I have two older 4xxxx series NVRs that I can connect via serial number to with LITE but not with full SmartPSS.
I have 4-5 other remote NVRs that I CAN connect to..

Update
I was finally able to connect to the 2 old NVRs with SmartPSS.
It took forever to establish a connection but they did and no I can connect to all using serial #
version 2023-3-10

I think its a European problem
 
My mistake.
When using SmartPss Lite I was advised to go to devises and click on the web symbol on the right hand side. Give it time to load and ''he presto'' I now have access to the AI features.
Problem solved.

hmmmm
Maybe thats on the latest version of LITE. My 2023 version doesnt have a web icon in Devices. Can you show a picture?

But I'm not able to open the camera GUI for cams on the NVR PoE ports...
If you had cameras on the LAn and had unique IPs you could access them

Right, so P2P doesn't get you access to the cameras, just the NVR, so hs5424 how are you doing remote connection of the cameras - port forward or VPN? Or are you not accessing the cameras and setting intrusion in the NVR?
