Yes SmartPSS and SmartPSS Lite both display SMD
You may have to enable the SMD on your NVR as well as your camera depending on the NVR model and version. I just did it using a 5442 fixed camera and an older 5216 NVR and it works on both versions of SmartPSS/Lite
You will also want to verify the schedule under regular MD, the area, and make sure the NVR is set to record MD
I got it to work same as Smartpss. Though on the Lite version I dont get the drop down menu to choose from Motion/Human/Vehicle.
- search timeframe and camera
- click on timeline to start playback then immediately click the SmartSearch icon
- that brings up the grid overlay which you choose your coverage area
- click SS icon again and it searches
- when done it turns timeline hashmarks lite purple
- hit main playback button and it cycles through the events
In my case it also picked up IVS as well as plain MD and SMD . I never use it as I typically just review the hashmarks on the timeline...
The trick is to buy cameras that have IVS and do detection on the camera not the NVR. The new AI enabled NVRs may be fine for some limited purposes, but they all max out a number of cameras they support, and cut incoming bandwidth capability in 1/2 in the process. I have a now 6 year old 5216 that works great and I'm not missing a thing not having one of the new EI NVRs.
Possible, or maybe there's an newer version of SmartPSS Lite?
