Snapshot resolution

I have been using the following URL to take snapshots from Hikvision IP cameras.

http://<username>:<password>@<IP-Address>/Streaming/channels/1/picture

The picture size is usual the maximum resolution of the camera in question. For example, on a 3mp cameras it will be 2048x1536. However, using the same URL on a Hikvision DS-2CD4585F-IZH camera only yields a picture size of 512x272. Does anyone know a different URL or camera setting that can be used to get a snapshot of a larger resolution?

I got similar problem. I make uploads from my cameras with ftp triggered on motion. The strange thing is that I get smaller images on my 4mp camera than my 3 mp. Maybe someone knows?

Here you can see in the manuals. And there you can specify your query for what resolution you want if I understood correctly. Check the oldest document first and read there page 76 I think
