Soffit / eaves mount of bullet camera (IPC-HFW5231E-Z12)

I have a HFW5231E-Z12 that I want to mount beneath the eaves of my house. The elbow mount attached to the rear of the camera does not allow any rotation beyond horizontal (in the image below). Can I loosen the nut at the rear of the camera to invert the camera allowing it to be mounted correctly?

You could but then your image would be upside down I think, though you could probably correct that through the camera settings.

If you loosen the main screws in back of the mount, you can turn the entire shaft anyway you want, then tighten back down.

So a combination of rotating the shaft and that big nut should allow you to get just about any angle.
