Someone made another BlueIris Home assistant Integration

Hey all. I am not on this forum much but feel free to tag me or submit something in Github if you run across anything.

To answer @George M, the primary reason I split it off was that the original was created prior to a lot of built in functionality from HA around custom integrations. I've been supporting elad-bar's for awhile now (since he moved to another nvr some time back) but couldn't address several of the big issues without a large rewrite.

I also took this chance to add some new features around alerts that makes it a bit easier to create rich notifications.

It should all be pretty familiar for users of the original though do note that the MQTT setup changed a bit to allow for some flexibility.

Can this integration be installed along side the other one? Also can it send clips as well as snapshots with the notifiations?

See the github for more details but no, they can't coexist.
It stores still images for notifications. I am not sure how well clips would work. What I do is include a link to BlueIris UI3 in the notification if the still image looks worth of checking out.
If you want to open a feature request on GH, please do but I ask that you describe in great detail what you are imagining. Just thinking through it now I can see how different people might want different behavior with clips.
My main thought is that I don't want the notification delayed to wait for more footage. I'd rather get the notification immediately.

All cameras cycle is not working correctly for me.

Hope the video shows what I'm talking about.

Let me know thanks.

Hey @iwanttosee
Can you submit a GH issue for this? I never use the groups for streaming so I may need to adjust the url if theirs is different. Have some followup questions (thanks for the video) but I'll ask them in GH.
Thanks

EDIT. If you want to throw the answers to these in the GH, that'll get the ball rolling.
Are you referring to the Unavailable, the stream not 'streaming', or it showing all of the cameras and not actually cycling?
What happens if you load it from the device page and not from a lovelace/dashboard?

Thanks @iwanttosee for the GH ticket. This actually tied into another ticket I needed to make some changes for to try to help out another user with streaming. Mentioned in the ticket but it doesn't appear that any one stream option from BI does everything. Meaning it appears you can either have scrubbing or you can have cycling but not both. This wouldn't be a problem imo for the cycling but it also impacts single camera streaming. Either way, hopefully one of the options gets you what you need.

Now you mentioned it, the steaming performance is really slow. The other BI integration takes couple of seconds to open the same thing.

Try the latest release with the H264 TS. Even with H264 I don't see the delay you are but there is definitely some lag before the stream actually buffers. Do you have Enable Streaming on in both integrations (assuming you have two instances of HA you are comparing them on)? I just want to ensure it's not a snapshot-refresh "stream" being compared to HA's actual stream component.

Nope only one HA. I followed instruction, remove the old BI integration, the remove BI from HACS before I install this new BI.
