I have a house that I want to have 10 outside static cameras, mixing 2.8mm and 4mm. I want IP with an NVR. POE can be through NVR, but I also have a 48 port POE switch for my network that can be used (my network admin prefers to use the switch over the NVR). HIgh resolution, such as 3MP. Looking for an NVR that is simple to use. I also will run the HDMI output to two static monitors via an HDMI splitter and CAT6 HDMI extender (so I can have a static monitor in my kitchen and my bedroom). I will run USB over CAT6 extender to supply my mouse in the kitchen for control.
I am partial to Hikvision, but am not sure how much processing I need. I did see from alixpress this unit: DS-7616NI-I2/16P English. But I am a little suspect of how easy it will be for me to use a non-U.S. system. I would get my Hikvision cameras from B&H so I can have Hikvision support.
So, does this work? Any recommendations on which cameras?
